I’m a member of The Society of Mediators and qualified to international standards in civil and commercial mediation. I am a consultant mediator with the Veterinary Client Mediation Service for the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, British Farriers and Blacksmiths’ Association, The Thoroughbred Breeders Association and referring law firms and individuals. I am also a member of the Agricultural Law Association, have a degree in Psychology and a Professional Certificate in Sports Psychology along with BHS and ABRS qualifications.
I was invited to train as a Mediator to help people resolve their disputes. When mediating I aim to defuse tensions, ensure all participants are listened to and to guide them through sometimes difficult conversations to reach their own solution.
I have a particular interest in equine, sporting and membership related cases.
If you find yourself involved in a dispute, please email or call me to see how mediation can help you reach an agreement.
Nikki von Bülow MSC, Chartered MCIPD, MSoM
I am an accredited civil, commercial and workplace mediator, trained by the Society of Mediators. From an HR background, I have a particular interest, and weight of experience, in workplace dispute resolution.
With a Master’s degree in Human Resources (HR) Management from the London School of Economics I offer over 25 years’ experience including holding corporate HR roles. I am a Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel (CIPD) and work as a volunteer mentor and coach for the CIPD Steps Ahead programme.
From my HR consultancy work across a wide range of employers and sectors, I am very aware of the multiple challenges organisations and individuals face.
Over the years I have seen numerous misunderstandings, miscommunications and disagreements escalate into unintended outcomes. In the workplace these typically lead to grievances being raised, disciplinary action being taken and employment tribunal claims being made. In managing these formal disputes I came to believe that there must be a more effective way to resolve disputes without causing additional harm to those involved. I have too often witnessed the application of rigid and judgmental employment procedures, or slow and costly legal proceedings causing real damage to people and organisations.
Through mediation I can help the participants to find their own unique and mutually acceptable solution in a safe and confidential setting.
